I have a user who loses his connection about 3 to 4 times a week.
His
computer at work is running version 4.2.6 of RealVnc Enterprise Edition
(Server) He has not given me the complete error message he gets on the
client side, but he says it something like this -- connection reset by
peer.... and something about a socket.

I know it's best to get the whole message, but this is all he gave me. I
have tried to get my connection to do the same and the only way I get a
similar error is by disconnecting my network on the client side.

To connect to our network at work, employees have to go through out
proxy/firewall, which is a computer running Winproxy. I have opened up the
ports on this computer.
I have been connected to my computer at work via the vnc client from home
at the same time this user has been disconnected from his connection. and I
have not experienced any disconnection problems. Based on this I don't
believe it could be our proxy server.

Is anyone aware of any known issues with RealVnc 4.2.6?
