Understood!  I was not thinking about the libraries necessary to run the
various X programs.  Off course, you are right.

You have a point there!  The aim is to remote administer...  Not create a new
life for Linux without a full fledge X environement.  I guess I will refocus my
questions to the appropriate newsgroups or list for this.  VNC is a great tool,
although not very secure as is, for accessing workstations, Linux or Windows. 
What I am trying to do is probably not appropriate for VNC (unless it is an
academic question, which it is not im my case).
