I am aware of the issues with the standard VGA driver supplied with
Windows 2000 and have seen the suggestions within the FAQ to use
an SVGA driver or one supplied by the display adapter manufacturer.
Unfortunately, the machine I'm using is a Compaq Presario where the
display adapter is part of the motherboard and Compaq has stated
there is no support (graphics drivers, etc) for Windows 2000 for this
product line.

I am left to look for a generic SVGA driver for Windows 2000.
To this point, my search has been in vain. My first question then is

Is there a generic SVGA driver for Windows 2000?
If so, where is it hiding?
If not, then my only alternative at this point to use VNC for this
machine is to purchase a 3rd party display adapter. Yes?

Looking forward to any help, thanks.
