It is true that KDE 2.0 gets confused if you try to run
two copies under the one username. This is a nuisance
for vnc users. I notice that 2.1 has multi-head support.
I think this means we can have one KDE session controlling
multiple x servers (rather than that you can just start
a new kde session). I'm not sure - does anyone else know?
Also: there are buffer overflows with possible security
implications in xfree3.3.6. Is there any move to change
vnc so it is based on xfree4: which also has new features
like scalable fonts I think?

Also I found an interesting article at www.w3.org about
using new URL schemes in browsers. It can be done in
IE5 and will be possible in mozilla eventually. So I'm
hoping to get the vnc://server:port URL scheme working
before I try getting the standards bodies interested.
