Does anyone know what is executed for obtaining the KDE 2.0 desktop using
XFree86 4.0?
I would like to setup my ~/.vnc/xstartup file so that vncserver shows me a
similar desktop as when I logon directly using XFree86 4.0 and KDE 2.0.
I used this method as recommended in the FAQ under Mandrake 6.0, 6.1 and
RedHat 6.0, 6.1 and 6.2. However, it seems that the way KDE 2.0 is
initialized under XFree86 4.0 is now different and I can't figure it out. This
does not work anymore:
...
kwm &
kbgndm &.
kfm &
kpanel &
...
There seem to be now "kdeinit" or "kdestartup" commands. However, they seem
not to be allowed to run twice on the same box.
I am now using Mandrake 7.2.
Thanks for any help.
Serge.
