I am running vnc 3.3.3. on redhat 6.2 and I wanted to run vncserver
automatically on boot. I add "vncserver" to /etc/rc.d/rc5.d/S99local. However,
when I boot the vncserver does not start and I get a message "You will require
a password to access your desktops".

If I run the command "vncserver /.vnc/passwd" and then enter my password I no
longer get the above error message and vncserver will start. Is this
documented anywhere? I thought you only needed a password to access vnc not to
start it.
