I find it a lot more manageable myself. I'm using Netscape
4.78 mailer - you appear to be using the same. I've got
a seperate 'vnc' folder under a 'maillists' folder, and
a message filter that catches all mail "to: vnc-list*",
and sticks it in there. It's very simple, and makes it a lot
easier to manage than digests.

I'd argue that a good reason not to do this would be that
when replying, most mailers would reply in HTML. And we
don't want no steenkin' HTML...

I'd guess yes, and I'd guess loads, especially here in
xplatform VNC-land. Of course, HTML digest could be an *option*
(like the digest is at the moment) but because of the above
problem (replies will be HTML) I don't think it's a good
idea at all. HTML'd email is not a good idea, in my opinion,
especially on a mailing list about VNC - mail me if you want
my reasons why.
