Ditto here. In fact, there was a continual problem with pcAnywhere itself during the 8.x days - the service was known to regularly hang, which made it useless for remote control. I would *always* install VNC as a second remote control method on single-server domains using PCA 8.x and never had a problem with negative interactions.
