I just wanted to update everyone on the issue I was having with local
loop-back disabled messages when trying to portforward over SSH2.

I did the following to resolve the issue.

I had to add the DWORD value "AllowLoopback=1" to the
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WINVNC3" key on both the client and server
computers. No where in the documentation did it state the loop-back needed
to be enabled on both systems.

I am now able to use portforwarding over SSH2 to make a VNC connection. I
am very happy but I do have one comment to add.

It would be helpful if all the default "Advanced Options" DWORD values were
added to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WINVNC3" registry key when you run
"Install Default Registry Settings" under the "Administrator Tools" menu.
Running this command only installs the VNCHOOKS in the
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ORL\VNCHooks\Application_Prefs" of the registry.
Currently, if anyone wants to change the default Advance options, they have
to manually add and modify the DWORD in the registry. It would be much
easier to have all DWORD values in place and just modify the value of the
DWORD that needed to be changed.

I understand that someone might want to further customize the registry based
on default user, per-user per-Global user or per-machine. If this is the
case, then manually moving DWORD values from the above mentioned location to
the desired location would be needed.

I also think it would be easy to have a Advanced Option Gui that would be
able to update the registry once values have been selected for each of the
advanced options. These changes can be based on Per-Global User, Default
User, Per-User or Per-Machine.

Subject: SSH portforwarding help

I have been able to successful setup ssh port forwarding but when I try to
connect with VNC to localhost, I get "local loop-back connections are
disabled"

Does anyone know how I would enable local loop-back?
