But it does make sense. You are running SSH at both ends. VNC needs to
loop back to use SSH--at both ends.

Perhaps the name is misleading and should be changed to "Install Default
Hook Registry Settings"?

But not everyone who needs the hooks needs the loopback. Running "Install
Default Registry Settings" simply opens "C:\Program
Files\VNC\VNCHooks_Settings.reg" (or equivalent).
What about adding to the distribution (and installation) an
additional "Install LoopBack Registry Settings" that would open
"C:\Program Files\VNC\VNCLoopBack_Settings.reg" containing
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3]
"AllowLoopback"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3\Default]
"AllowLoopback"=dword:00000001
(I think this is correct, but--caveat emptor--better double check.)
Actually, a small suite of options based on different *.reg files could be
added to the distro/install.
