copying the coversations on Vnet

I have a simple question, which I hope will lead to a simple answer...

I want to keep a record of the conversations between my students in Vnet.  I
was hoping that I could simply cut and paste the contents of the dialog box,
but no luck.  I havent tried on Newscape yet, but if that doest work either;
is there anyway to copy this information???
