yeah
sorry

I think what I am going to try out
is small mods in the client code
to add a 2nd button labeled something like "Create"...
if you already have a logon and hit the "Login" button
a blank "avatar URL" will be allowed
and will result in loading the default avatar
else you can over-ride the default by filling in the field...
I wanted to give folks a chance to try out other faces
but have that *not* become the default
until the @avatar command is issued
> Position:
> How about the server storing the position info after a timeout
I think I'll leave that to the user to decide to do
at least initially...
I want to let folks have a favorite entrypoint
and not have to *end* there as well

heh
that why I'm starting with just a few core commands

no
this is *very* useful
(like reminding me I forgot orientation)

yeah
the browsers are sometimes pretty bad at cleaning up connections
sometimes I have had to disconnect from my dialup connection
and then dial back in and reconnect
to get the %^&* socket to go away
(I have a perm IP address) ;^{
thank heavens for netstat, ps, and kill ports
thank you very much for your help
