Hello all;

I have made an interm release of FreeWRL 0.19 available, and have the
EAISimple.wrl world working on my server with a slightly modified
set of client routines.

version 0.20 will be a lot more stable. Major problems right now are
that:

1) Avatars are not really there. I had trouble parsing some avatars,
so this version makes all avatars "cones".

2) EAI problem: sending a position update to "myself" caused a thread
hang; I have commented these things out of my copy of the code. This
causes a lot of warnings when "OOBE"'d.

3) FreeWRL problem: when I register a listener (position, orientation)
continuous updates are sent, even if nothing is moved. I have hacked
my copy of EAISceneInterface (called FreeWRLSceneInterface) to get
around this, until I fix FreeWRL.

If anyone wants to give it a try, please do so. Check out the file
"START" in the distribution for a description of how to run this
without Netscape.

Expect FreeWRL-0.20 out in a months time (give or take...)

Thanks;

John Stewart
