True you can have the admin create the rocords and thus use shared objects
-- this is exactly what I did in my own implementation using an Oracle
database and the JDBC bridge. The point of interest, however, is that in
defining shared objects one sees that this is precicsely the definition
(in part) of an avatar itself -- indeed in my system the shared objects
are essentially avatars which the computer "owned" and that other avatars
could manipulate....however it may become neccessary to regulate the use
of avatars to some form of conformance standard such that records can be
added/deleted as people move in and out of the world...I am committed to
having a much more substantial system (in the end) that simple transform
data... (ie store which audio file to use, which graphics to map with, etc
and pull it all from the datbase). Maybe an "avatar builder" that creates
the correct record format ? Just ideas...
