In our case the 'from' address was another valid user (was your from address a valid address in the past?). From what I've seen the spammers are just ordering their lists by domain and picking one of the addresses to be the 'from' address, thus making it more likely to be treated as real mail. Nice eh? I've contemplated adding code to my spam filter to limit the addresses user who claim to be 'local' can connect from to those of my network and any backup servers I use (unless they use SMTP auth or POPb4drop). That would break any of my users sending thru Earthlink or their local ISP (I'm a mail provider, not an ISP). I also considered doing this but based on netblocks, and just start blocking the addresses as we see them (but only for the from local sendint to local case) Bill ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Drenner" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Vircom Mail" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, August 19, 2002 6:27 AM Subject: [VOPmail Beta] Question on redirection > * This is the vopmailbeta mailing list * > > > I had an interesting email on Saturday. > I got a porn site Spam type email.
