We have been running across more and more users calling saying that the mail
server keeps rejecting their password.  A quick review of the error log file
shows the following:


---- POP3S log entry made at 10/30/2002 08:13:54
The mailbox for sina in  is in use.
POP command failed when talking to 65.166.115.14:
>>> PASS ********
<<< -ERR [IN-USE] mailbox in use

Scanning thru the error log I see a number of users having this problem (9
users in the last 8 hours).  Some of the user's mailboxes are locked for
hours as I keep seeing them trying and failing.

My questions are:

What is locking the mailbox?  I know for a fact that the most recent
customer I talked to was NOT trying to get her email via the webmail or any
other POP3/IMAP method.
In the above example the user's name is "sina" but the log has "sina in", I
wonder what that is all about?  The rest of the entries for the other users
are the same way.
