Maybe it is all a joke but lets talk about this in another place.

Vircom is trying to run a business. We can disagree on their policies and
get upset about changes. I have always thought they created quality products
at an acceptable price.

I think their offer to temporarily sell people a support plan even if they
are outside the 30 day from purchase was a very reasonable bridge to those
who felt alienated.
