Hi, We are also another ISP from Saudi Arabia, where we also have the same issue. The Billing software we are using is Hawk-i. So please give us the solution with regards to the below mentioned problem. With regards to our ISP, the exisiting Dialup &ADSL customers are logging with their domain names [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]@digi.net.sa , suppose if i create usernames with multiple domain names like [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]@256k.digi.net.sa , [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]@128k.digi.net.sa how should i configure the radius so that it will authenticate all the users with different domain names. Awaiting an early reply from you. Best Regards A.Thameemul Ansari P.O.Box 16382 Riyadh 11464 K.S.A PH-966-1-4192009(Off) Fax-966-1-4191942 MOB-96656979294

We currently service Dial-up accounts (prepaid and normal accounts) and ADSL customers. These two types of customer authenticate through the Vircom Radius that we have. The current situation is that all ADSLs come to us as single PVCs per customer. This is problematic as we have to maintain 100s of PVCs on the router. This method is being changed gradually now to use in between the ADSL and our routers a SHASTA aggregator. Then only one PVC will be created between each Shasta and our routers. Inside this PVC all users will come to us in a UBR PVC. Now another issue is speed controls. Currently, we control each user's speed through his specific PVC by usage of bandwidth shaping (UBR command). But with the new setup after the aggregation, the user will be controlled by the network provider through the domain name. For example, a customer who purchases 256k ADSL would have to loginto the service (PPPoE) through the following user name: [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]@256k.domain.net . Now if the user speed was 64k, then he would have to login with the following user name: [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]@64k.domain.net . The supported speeds now are: 64k, 128k and 256k. The questions now are the following: 1. How can we control specific user names (through profiles maybe) to login using a specific sub-domain (ie. 64k.domain.net)? So, if he attempts to login using 256k.domain.net he will be denied access because of incorrect username/password. We also need this to be done using profiles on Rodopi and not the profiles.txt of Vircom Radius. 2. How can we control Digital vs. Analog to control Dial-ups and ADSLs access? Again this needs to be done from Rodopi profiles and NOT Radius profiles.txt file. 3. Also how can we control user logins through DNIS using Rodopi profiles and not Vircom Radius profiles.txt ? 4. Currently, my dial-up users login without the use of the domain name. Can we allow dial-up to continue without domain name while forcing ADSLs to login with domain names as explained above ? We are in URGENT need for assistance on the above items. Pls get back to us with any assistance or hints you might have on the above issues.
