When did you pay "each side money"? Sounds like you paid Vircom money some years ago, and are paying the POP provider now. I am no expert on the RFC specs, but I haven't heard of a term "Virtual" as a port type. We run at least 6, maybe more, mixtures of remote ports including UUNet, Level 3, Qwest, ICG, and others through three different national aggregators, and don't have any analog access problems using Vop Radius. Perhaps the national aggretators translate all the various requests into "vanilla".
