Whoa... I guess FS is right about the lunar influence.... Well, if nothing else - the idea behind "subterrenes" (sounds like a menu offering at a french deli) seems to be real, in the sense that it was explored on paper... and the fact that a few years later we had the famous movie "China Syndrome" which seemed to have hit a cultural nerve, indicates that a "meme" evolved out of it. Looking for the vitae of this guy, Richard Sauder, Ph.D... one seems to suspect that he orderd his from the same institute for "higher" learning that sold Bearden his (rolling papers included) ... not that there's anything wrong with that... his erudition is so obvious from his careful research and balanced writings that a PhD is superfluous to a researcher of this caliber.
