Tesla's death ray! From Tesla's description of his weapon, electrospray
of ionized atomic clusters is probably the phenomenon that creates the
beam (and then he accelerates it with a few hundred megavolts.)

Also, emission of clusters from a high voltage needle is somehow mixed up
with several of Ken Shoulders' EV experiments. The clusters are heavy,
and multiply-charged. The real question is... do they always have the e/m
ratio of electrons, or are electrosprayed clusters being mistaken for
Shoulders' EVs?

Also: whether they're EVs or not, if we accelerate the charged
particle-clusters to high enough KE, they'll act as any other ion beam,
and in that case we can easily cut deep holes in solid matter ala "ion
beam machining."
