Yes, I know. I had a Diesel car in the 1980s. It was the first car I ever bought. (And while we are on the subject, I know a fellow here at the Peachtree DeKalb airport who is selling diesel engines for Cessnas.)
I did not mean to imply that hybrid cars are the only solution. On the contrary, there are a whole raft of solutions sitting on the shelf unused.
