Hi,

Solar farms in the desert could be self cleaning, if they are designed to shake 
the panels a bit at sundown. At that
time of day they are essentially vertical, as they follow the Sun. Making them 
vibrate a bit while vertical will shake
of any loose sand etc. that might have accumulated on the panel during the day.

The other days, drive your spouses car, and do the same with it.
