Hi, Solar farms in the desert could be self cleaning, if they are designed to shake the panels a bit at sundown. At that time of day they are essentially vertical, as they follow the Sun. Making them vibrate a bit while vertical will shake of any loose sand etc. that might have accumulated on the panel during the day.
