That is a different approach. Pantone's approach is hydrocarbon reforming. He uses the word: 'plasma' but others would say there is no true plasma, since the intake vacuum is minuscule and the exhaust temperature is not high enough to do much ionization.
You can use in principal use any hydrocarbon as fuel, including sewage (if you can stand the odor).
The net savings is what is important - and it would not surprise me to see a French auto maker get hold of these rights, eventually.
