MARTA board recently appointed Dr. Beverly Scott to head the Authority. She took one look at the regional transit system and said that the system needs expanding (shock!). These three women backed by Central Atlanta Progress have announced a planned Green Line in downtown which would renovate a large portion of the downtown area to make it more pedestrian friendly by taking out the trash.
