One other thought on this - combining QM with LENR with exotic superheavy elements (which are natural, and at the PPM level in the electrode, such as from Ni which comes from certain mines).
This would be in re: "time reversed fusion" which is a hypothetical way to derive many MeV from real fusion but without the normal lethal levels of neutrons and gamma radiation. Of course, it is closer to SciFi than to terreality, but that is why we mentioned metaverses. If you have an isomer that can be "pumped" for high energy photons, like the infamous tantalum isomer (rumored to be the key to the SDI gamma laser) mentioned in the Wiki reference, then perhaps it can be pumped way down in energy before the fission, giving two energy deficient fragments. The end result could be the normal ~50 MeV per fissile atom, but with moderate secondary radiation (as seen in LENR experiments). If there is 4 ppm in your electrodes, and half that can participate over a run of weeks, then there is still about 100 times more net energy than chemical (if the Ni has 4 ppm of 'Lenrium'). -----Original Message----- From: Jones Beene The same word can refer to both in different ways, AFAIK. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_isomer Matter of fact, I would opine that the ORMES, if they exist (which is not a good bet) are in this category. -----Original Message----- From: Terry Blanton Jones Beene wrote: > Anyway the "island of stability" of heavy atoms might contain an isomer of a heavy element which is stable I thought 'isomer' referred to compounds. Maybe you were thinking 'isotope'? T
