Terry - I have not followed Piantelli closely enough to have an opinion. Do
you know a detail that indicates he was using a radioactive catalyst?

The more I think about R. Mills, however, the more likely it seems he would
have tried 40K and then never announced it. After all, he was an MD and
Mössbauer expert, so he would have made the connection, which is seeming
obvious now as to why it would be very synergetic - and it opens up the full
nuclear angle in a new way.

Mills would also not be anxious to admit this, given his silly stance on
LENR. It would have cast all of his work into the category of cold-fusion
and that would be about the worst indignity he could suffer. What a fool.

As of now, this is my prime candidate for the magic catalyst of Rossi/DGT:
"enriched 40K" possibly in the range of 5% enrichment as a carbonate. And it
does seem capable to provide that magic in a Mössbauer-like way - which is
the beauty of it in the context of low orbital shrinkage.

I'm curious. Do you think Piantelli tried this first? It would explain a
lot!
