It has been my suspicion all along that these guys jumped to a conclusion much too quickly. I thing of someone finding a 16 pound weight and announcing that they have found a bowling ball. Until the true interactions of a particle are established no one can be confident in what they find. This is a sad chapter in the long sorry story of established science. I hope that one day the system can be improved.
