OSX comes with python, with was a nice surprise for me when I learned it a

I am not a python user, but /usr/bin/python -V says "Python 2.3.5", so I assume thats the version number. I am running Mac OS 10.4.6, and it was a clean installation without any prior OS version to mess things up. I also have /sw/bin/python2.3 from fink, which says "Python 2.3.4".

Ok, that's what we needed to know. Lalo, is it true that bzr *requires* Python 2.4? Also bzr uses a non-standard Python module for access over ssh, which could be troublesome (this is only required for write access, though, read access works fine over http).

I do intend to set up a job to mirror changes to a read-only CVS, as well as have it generate nightly snapshots, so it won't be necessary to use bzr unless you are committing changes directly into the main interreality.org branch.

Right now I am working on having the configure script be able to automatically download and build boost, wxwidgets and crystalspace. This is actually coming a long very well, with boost and wxwidgets already done. This will make building VOS quite a bit easier, as it will be able to set up all the dependencies for you.
