I *finally* figured this one out. I had the following entry in my /etc/group file:
sudo:x:27:doug This makes it so I never have to enter a password *grimace*. Anyway, I removed myself from this group, logged out and back in again, and voila! sudo asks me for a password yet again. :-) On Tue, 17 Dec 2002, R.
