What I meant (and as far as my english allows me to understand Uffe's
quoted lines ) is if you didn't want the key as soon as it was available,
you'd rather not register. Personnally I did, even if I knew
- there was no emergency.
- that key didn't bring me something I didn't have yet, as a regular VNG
  user.

I knew that waiting for NC3 for example would have made me save money, and
have more programs than what I bought for a lower price, a nice package,
and a cdrom with 'un-erasable' keyz... It wasn't a scoop, Chris talked
about it since the very first days of v3pre1.

My intend was not to tell people to wait, but I really don't find it
decent to ask for some money back or software discounts based on the fact
that when you were given the possibility to register you found it to be a good
deal... Ok there's a better deal now, and what ? When I upgraded
I expected there would be lower cost solutions to get the same thing, but
considered that I liked V enough to support it.

And I don't agree with your 'no one was buying... vapor was forced...' idea.
Before V3p2, Chris already said there'd be an upgrade price for V3 and that
it'd be lower than 25Pounds... If it'd been Vapor's intention to force people
to register, I think they would'nt have the same policy for V3's timeouts,
I mean, any VNG regged user have been able to use V3pre1, V3pre2, and V3pre3
(except the NC2 ones ok .. ). So no one never tried to make you buy an early
key. The upgrade offer appeared now because until v3pre3, v3 was not considered
to be good enough to substitute to VNG (and registering (not upgrading) V3 made
you receive a VNG key on top of the V3 key)...

Phil.
