Does your Pentium also run on an 8 color screen
or perhaps the iMac? ;-)
[Not really ment as an offence.]
To be serious, you can't expect an computer
with an 10 year old gfx-system to be up to date,
therefor you have to accepts shortcuts.
BTW, I don't expect to surf the net with my
old Apple computers, so...
Ah, and one more, my relatives are still alive,
for god's sake, but since I was seventeen years
old I never got any major financial help from them.
And to be on topic:
IMHO it's very urgent to get a *fully working* JS
support for V in the very near future, because
if not, well, then I don't think that many people
will spend money for an outdated product,
that's reality!
[Keep in mind, the development of the Web moves on,
day by day, it's obvious that the WEB will move
forward to a publishing platform, that means
the documents shown up in the WEB will be the
same one creates with his/her home software
everyday, no special conversion to a HTML.
E.g. there are attempts to bring PDF foward
in that direction,...]

Remark of the day :
If all be true that I do think,
there are five good reasons we should drink.
Good wine, A friend, or being dry,
or lest we should be by and by.
Or any other reason why.
