First, I really appreciate your and everyone else's assistance in
this. I have not yet downloaded VMM, but will. I also believe that a
bit of clarification needs to be done. When I spoke of use of virtual
RAM, I was not saying that I was expecting that I would achieve more
Graphics RAM, I was referring to the idea that, instead of everything
being loaded into Graphics RAM, until it burst, that some could be off-
loaded to a disk file and later accessed, as room permitted, or as parts
of the file were needed, somewhat like layering. Now, I was not sure
whether any program could/can have the Amiga do this, which is why I put
out the inquiry.
Just for the record, I am using an A3000, 040/25/MMU/68882, 2 megs
Chip, 16 megs Fast, Quantum 100 meg fixed disk, Quantum 700 meg fixed
disk, Power Computing 3.5 HD external drive, IOmega Bernoulli 230 drive,
IOmega Zip 250 drive, and a 6x CD ROM external drive. I use a
Mitsubishi 20" TV as my monitor, a Canon 200e printer. I run my system
under AmigaDOS 3.5, using the "printer.device" from 3.1 so my programs
will print. I also use Miami, AWeb, Voyager, and AEMail, and a 56 K
external modem.
I have stated the list of stuff, above so you all will have an idea
of my availabilities in working out difficulties.
Julian.
