There's no need to configure anything in MIMEPrefs for plugins. Go to
Settings/Plugins... and select the Vpdf plugin. It should display that
application/pdf is now supported.
If this doesn't happen then you installed the plugin wrong. Check the case
of the filename (should be Vpdf.VPlug).
