This is where I keep recommending PFS3. I have not lost a byte of
information due to the filesystem since using PFS3. V3 crashes do nothing to
the HD. The only thing that happens if you crash during a write is that the
older version of the file remains on the HD. I.E. PFS3 confirms the write
before deleting the old. Plus you get up to 500% faster file access which I
confirmed on my HDs (Quantum 240, Micropolis 4.3/4.3AV, Seagate 9GB, Syquest
270 removable).
