Well, when I TRY to run .35, I am told I have not installed
the image decoders correctly... I am still trying to figure
that one out....  I did manage to get the text problem fixed,
and .35 gets a lot farther than before, but now it can't
find the proper image interpreters... so stops loading...

Consider yourself lucky to get THAT far...  :))))

Must be nice to have been rich at one time... I am sure you
are a wee bit less after forking out the money to buy all
that stuff... Are you married?  If so, how did you convince
the Little Lady that you should have all that?  : )))
I definitely need advice on that!
