First off, I thnk you are more correct than you friend is for the following
reason...


When using a GFX  card, you can pretty much forget about using CHIP RAM for
GFX. That means, much faster response. Granted you have more colors and a
higher resolution, but that is not all. A GFX card sppeds the entire system
response time, because you are no longer being slowed down by the 7.16 Mhz
Chip Ram access.

Once again, you are correct in that you will not run out of Chip Ram,
simmply because of it not being used. This means that situation of a high
GFX load that would have drained all you CHIP RAM, no no longer occur
making your machine more robust when it comes to handling GFX.

board.
