Erm, merely saying that the basic problem does exist, even w/o that particular
part of it, doesn't actually match complaining about it, does it? ;) I'd say
it's actually just the other way round.. :)

Yes and no - but it reduces the risk a lot. I quess V sometimes goes on
munching some data even if it doesn't indicate it, and then shutting it down
leads to those processes not exiting?

Hm, after a bit more testing, I found out it has something to do with the
lay-outing, too. Even when stopped, but the data not yet being layed-out on
the screen, shutting down V after stopping the actual loading from the web
produces the effect discussed.
