I wouldn't.. I don't expect my machine to crash, ever, so I run my own POP3
mail downloader (part of Zeus BBS).
My home machine typically keeps up for about two weeks before I do something
silly which crashes/reboots it. I'm not sure how long it'd last if I left it
alone :)
