I've done some playing locally downloading the page and associated
images, if I replace the background.gif (which loads ok on its own in
voyager) with my own smaller image it works fine. So it is the gif
that is causing the problem, not found out why though, certainly
shrinking the gif too 800x12 has not made a difference.
