For what it's worth, I have seen some similar issues on my connection. Generally, the VPN is very stable, and I'm able to run multiple Remote Desktops with no problems.
However, when using a lot of file sharing, such as remotely editing (editor on my machine, files on remote machine), that the tunnel collapses quite often with no apparent reasons. I'm also running Win 7 x64, and the remotes are running a variety of Vista and Windows Server 2003.
