Hello Feroz,
Benoit is correct, I am not using LD_PRELOAD. I introduced a native VCL backend 
for SPDK. It supports both target and initiator sides.
Please note that it’s very early and still contains many issues. My first goal 
was to get an estimate of where it can land in terms of performance.
I am still working on it to stabilize it.

I suspect you might be referring to Jerome's experiments. If so you can find 
his modifications here: https://github.com/jtollet/spdk/tree/vcl-backend.
As far as I can tell it uses direct vppcom integration, not LD_PRELOAD.
