Hi Excel, Benoit, As an additional isolation test, if the setup can be reproduced outside production, it may be useful to run the same port and traffic profile with VPP's native RDMA driver in Direct Verbs mode instead of the DPDK mlx5 PMD.
If the failure also occurs with RDMA/DV, that would point more strongly toward the NIC firmware, mlx5/rdma-core stack, link-level flow control, or the peer. If it occurs only with DPDK, it would narrow the investigation toward the mlx5 PMD or its TX queue handling. The queue layout and offload configuration should be kept as comparable as possible.
