AHA! You found it!  I didn't think to look there, because most of what I had 
seen pulled out of the files was correct case-wise...

$ find ~/Testing/data/k | grep -i kdaaaaaa

/home/ldavis/Testing/data/k/kdaaaaaa
/home/ldavis/Testing/data/k/KDAAAAAA.B

I'll add a check for this and see what happens next...
