Gotcha. Thanks for the description. I also noticed that I am getting a bunch of errors such as:
WARNING: Unknown action 'Restore' ...during startup. I checked out the vss2svn.pl code, and it seems that version 0.10b2 doesn't read Restores (but the latest trunk version does..) So, with all of this, I assume I should wait until the next version (beta3?) -James -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Dirk Sent: Friday, August 04, 2006 8:39 AM To: Vss2Svn Users Subject: Re: Migration Errors James Tavares schrieb: > I have "0.10 beta 2" from the download page (grabbed it last night). > > Are orphaned files the same as destroyed files? > No, the are more or less the opposite ;-) E.g if you destroy a project, normally all files within this project are destroyed also. In some situations, esp. when the files are shared, the files survive the "destroy" operation, but they don't have a parent anymore. During the conversion process we will see file related activities but we don't see where the activity happened, since the parent project is lost. The file is orphaned. Later if the file is shared into another project, this is like getting new parents and the file looses it's orphaned state. The 0.10 beta2 does not yet handle orphans fully. So you will loose all file history prior to the point, when the file is shared into their new parent.
