vTcl itself will use Itcl for widget creation among other things, but
project information will be stored seperately from the code itself. This
means that projects created with vTcl will not need Itcl unless you truly
use Itcl code in your project.
The argument to include Itcl in the core of Tcl has been ongoing for
almost 7 years now, and I don't see a resolution. What I think will
happen is that the core of Tcl/Tk will be released standalone while a
"batteries included" release will have all the major, favorite
extensions.
I predict that the BI release will become the release everyone
downloads. Not the "standard" release, but the one that everyone
doesnloads regardless.
