So far this discussion seems focused on the use of the keyboard within
vTcl itself. I suggest that this is only half of the issue. vTcl
could/should automatically supply keyboard functionality in the
application that is developed. Surely more users worldwide will use apps
developed with vTcl than will use vTcl itself.

I haven't thought this beyond making the suggestion. Certainly, some Tk
widgets have default keyboard binding, etc.
