Social Forum Activists,
Come one, come all to the next Planning Committee for the Vermont Social Forum. We face a world of growing inequality, unjust wars and occupations, and pillaging of the environment. The Vermont Social Forum will be a conference designed to bring together our state's social movements to discuss these and other issues and facilitate common action for progressive social change. We are planning to hold the conference in October 2005. The Planning Committee will be meeting on January 31st at 6pm in The Kellogg-Hubbard Library located on 135 Main St., Montpelier. On the agenda will be: deciding upon themes for the conference; speakers to be invited; and sub-committees to be formed (logistics, outreach, fundraising, and program). Bring your ideas, spread the word to other organizations, and let's get the VT Social Forum rolling.
