Converting this test Word file
https://JJJJ/KKKK/LLLL
using W2X with this option
-o map
generates a .dita file containing two xref's.
One of them (to "Bar") is fine. The other one (to "Foo") is invalid.
Both of the links are fine on Word.
This is clearly a bug. However I'm not yet sure we'll try to fix it.
The bug seems to be caused by the fact that your "test.docx" has a
bookmark named " ( Foo) ".
When I use Word and try to insert a similar bookmark (named " ( Gee )
"), MS-Word refuses to do it because the name of the bookmark seems to
contain characters (e.g. space characters) not supported by MS-Word
itself. See grayed "Add" button in attached screenshot.
If you want us to fix this bug, please explain how you managed to create
a bookmark named " ( Foo) ".
More generally, please note that our product does not claim to support
all kind of DOCX files, but only those created using MS-Word.
See for example, "How to write a usable bug report?",

* A source DOCX file showing the problem. This DOCX file must have been
created using MS-Word 2007+.

PS: You have already filed 2 bug reports and 1 RFE. We certainly did not
forget about these. Simply we'll try to implement the fixes in the next
release of Word To XML (planned before the end of this year).
