I just noticed that even though a 404 occurs for the 2.5 check (I have autodetect 404's disabled) it still recognizes it as version 2.5 (added to the kb) AND the correct version as found in the index page (also added to the kb). Haven't looked deeper into the code yet. Apologies if this has already been identified as I did not get the chance to read the entire thread.
